Teaching English !

No one can deny the fact how important English is in the present era. English language can also be coined as the universal language. It is clear that the English has become more dominant around the world. In some countries it use as the mother tongue and other countries use it as the medium of communications as second language or foreign language. This makes English a language of global expression.

I have been teaching English since the commencement of my initiative .
The following are the pictures of a session at a government school.

Aim

To educate the underprivileged children, provide medical assistance and thus make them self dependent and help them achieve their goals

My aim to educate the unprivileged is to bring changes not only in the amount of knowledge gained by them but also in the abilities, to think and to acquire habits, skills and attitude which characterize an individual who is socially accepted and adjusted.

A agree with the words of Barack Obama, “Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

Cause of Illiteracy

Illiteracy is a pressing concern especially for poor countries; it affects all other aspects of life and personal behavior of the uneducated one. There are several causes which may lead someone to be uneducated or to escape from school.
A disproportionate number of total out-of-school children in India are girls. What denies equal opportunities of children are serious social issues that have arose out of caste, class and gender differences.
Our country has been unable to eradicate its many social evils completely. Child labor, child marriage, untouchability and the caste system are strong causes of a large percentage of Indian children being denied even basic primary school education. Child Labor is rampant among poor families who aim to increase their family income by sending out children to work from a very young age.
Poor households due to the lack of skills and knowledge involve their children in unskilled labor in order to earn bread for the family; thus, this reduces the focus from achieving education as the main focus deviates to earning income so as to be able to survive in the society.

A section of our society has been unable to move with the times, owing to generations of being ensconced by religious dogma or orthodox family practices. They reject modern education as a threat to their beliefs and way of life. Consequently, the children of such households are also deprived of the opportunity to study in modern schools and free their minds of meaningless conventions and conservative ideologies.

Nurturing Nation - Overview

I chose to educate the underprivileged children and provide medical assistance since improved health and education will add wings to their dreams!
Illiteracy in India is a problem which has complex dimensions attached to it. Illiteracy in India is more or less concerned with different forms of disparities that exist in the country. There are gender imbalances, income imbalances, state imbalances, caste imbalances, technological barriers which shape the literacy rates that exist in the country.
