Diwali Appeal !

May the festival of lights be the harbinger of joy and prosperity,

As the holy occasion of Diwali is here and the atmosphere is filled with the spirit of mirth and love,

here’s hoping this festival of beauty brings your way,

bright sparkles of contentment,

that stay with you through the days ahead.

Through my blog I request all of you to not burn crackers this Diwali!

Burning crackers causes harm to the environment , harms the animals and increases Noise pollution.

Moreover , if you burn crackers ,you eventually are increasing the demand of crackers in the market ... and do you know the bitter reality of cracker production?

Children are forced to make crackers , yes , by burning crackers you are promoting Child Labor !

Most people who engage their kids in the cracker industry are unaware of the hazardous effects of employing children in this industry. Others due to poverty employ their kids in this industry in order to feed their families ; even though employing children in fire cracker industry is a punishable offence under Child Labor Restraint Act .

This can be reduced only if the demand of crackers is reduced ... if there is no (or very less) demand then eventually things will take a positive turn !

So, let's pledge to NOT BURN CRACKERS !
